An interesting drag race has recently taken place between an Audi RS4 Avant and a Jaguar F-Pace. Heavy rain made sure both participants made extensive use of their all-wheel drives.
The Jaguar comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission lonked to a turbocharged V8 producing 550 hp (410 kW). The Audi RS4 packs a 2.9-liter engine with 450 hp (336 kW), also linked to an 8-G automatic. The wagon needs 4.1 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h, while the British SUV needs 4.3 s because of around 200 kg (440 lbs) of added weight. For this particular race, however, the Avant takes on two passengers to straighten out the odds.
Watch the video to find out who emerged victorious. Do not think you can predict the outcome, though: both vehicles spend most of the distance going shoulder-to-shoulder.
