The first-gen Audi RS4 Avant came out way back in 1999, phasing out the iconic RS2 Avant model. Despite a limited run of just 6,000 units, it proceeded to become an icon itself and even made it to Japan, where this tuned example comes from.
The original owner of this B5 RS4 wagon bought it for urban use, so he dropped its ride height a bit and swapped the OEM wheels out for larger aftermarket rims. But then another car aficionado from the United States bought it with heavy daily driving in mind. As such, he needed a car robust enough to traverse any terrain any time of the year.
AI Design handled the second round of customization. The ride ended up with a lift kit, a practical matte black finish, and robust winter tires, among other highlights.
