Criticizing the looks of the Audi A5 Sportback or its performance cousin, the RS 5, seems like an odd idea – the design is immaculate. Nonetheless, someone in Doha, Qatar felt it needed a major stylistic makeover.
The owner of the five-door liftback must have wanted everyone to turn their heads and stare back at their ride, so they had it finished in a hue called Viola from the Porsche catalog. 20-inch HRE Forged wheels with a bronze-gold look filled out the arches. The resulting combo may or may not appeal to you at first, but it certainly grows on you after a while.
Other than the finish, the RS 5 ended up with a full carbon-fiber aero kit by Australian company Karbel. This included front canards, an air splitter, a rear diffuser, bulky side sill extensions, and a tailgate spoiler. The cabin also received its share of carbon components, as well as a sawn-off yoke wheel instead of the OEM steering wheel.
According to Auditography, things stayed stock under the hood, implying a 2.9-liter six-pot rated at 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.
