The automotive customization atelier ABT Sportsline said it would bring a tuned-up version of the Audi RS5 Coupe to the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland held in March later this year. Here are a few details about the new modification.
A total of 50 cars will be issued as part of a limited ABT RS5-R series. The main achievement of the ABT engineering team is perhaps the improved engine performance. The stock Audi RS5 2.9L V6 got boosted to 530 horsepower with 690 Nm torque. Driven by it, the vehicle accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds – that’s 0.3 seconds better than in the standard version. Another major improvement comes in the form of a reworked suspension with new sports-grade shock absorbers and adjustable springs.
The exterior design of the car is no less appealing. A unique green body color, a new radiator grille, front apron, side skirts, spoiler and diffusor – all these make the new Audi RS5-R by ABT look really sporty and style-conscious. Last but not least, the vehicle gets the original ABT SPORT GR 21-inch wheels.
