The 2023 Audi RS5 will be available with a new trim pack called Competition, which adds $16,100 to the MSRP in the United States. What do you get for the hefty premium? Let’s see.
To get the main question out of the way, the 2.9-liter turbo six-cylinder under the hood still pumps out its usual 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. However, the top speed rises from 250 to 290 km/h (from 155 to 180 miles per hour). The package includes a sports exhaust system with black tailpipes and a juicier soundtrack.
Elsewhere, the sported-up RS5 boasts new coilover-based suspension and sits 20 mm (0.8 inches) lower than the standard car. Its exterior comes decorated with gloss black trim pieces and a few carbon parts. The interior makes use of a new trim on the seats, red stitching all around, and occasional carbon fiber sprinkles.
Orders will open in June.
