ABT Sportsline Develops RS5-R With 710 HP

German tuner ABT Sportsline is developing an upgraded version of the Audi RS5, named the RS5-R. The package offers increased power and aerodynamic enhancements for both the Sedan and Avant models.

The RS5-R features a modified twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine and electric motor software, resulting in a combined output of 710 horsepower and 667 lb-ft (905 Nm) of torque. This represents an 80 hp and 59 lb-ft (80 Nm) increase over the standard model. ABT plans to release a further performance upgrade next year, aiming for 789 hp, which will include an Akrapovic titanium exhaust.

Beyond engine modifications, the RS5-R includes an aerodynamic kit with a new front splitter, louvers on the front wheel arches, extended side skirts, new wing mirrors, a large roof spoiler, and a rear diffuser. These components are available in standard or forged carbon fiber. The package also features 22-inch forged wheels with 315/25 tires, lowering springs, and sportier anti-roll bars.

ABT plans to produce 130 units of the RS5-R package, each with a numbered plaque. Interior upgrades include newly trimmed seats, a dashboard, red contrast stitching, and carbon fiber paddle shifters. Pricing for the RS5-R package starts at €62,000 for the Sedan and Avant, with an additional €3,000 for forged carbon fiber. Installation fees range from €7,160 to €7,600, not including the cost of the base vehicle.
