-12 Encumbrance, +16 Strength: Akrapovič fits the RS6 Avant with its magic exhaust

The Slovenian exhaust system vendor has come up with an enhanced solution for the latest Audi RS6 Avant, rendering the family hauler lighter and more powerful at the same time.

Specifically, the aftermarket exhaust line weighs in 11.7 kilograms (26 lbs) under the OEM one, while helping the engine produce an extra 16 PS (16 hp / 11.6 kW) and 17.9 Nm (13 lb-ft) at optimum RPM counts.

It remains to be measured whether these figures translate into anything meaningful on the highway, but the stock RS6 is a wild beast of a wagon as is, making it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds. The top speed lies at 250 km/h (155 mph), but opting for the Sport package raises the bar to 306 km/h (190 mph).

Prices are available upon request, and you may watch the video for an idea on what it sounds like.
