We just showed you how poorly chosen wheels ruined the exterior of an otherwise decent restomod, so let’s counterbalance it with an example of oversized rims looking good on a car.
Vossen Wheels has a history of outfitting German rides like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5-Series with wheels reaching 22 inches in diameter, but today’s example – a red Audi RS6 Avant C8 – goes one step farther than that. Installed here are LC2-C1 forged wheels sized 23 inches across and 11 inches wide on both axles.
The set boasts a Patina Gold finish and does a great job filling out the arches down to the last millimeter. Lowered suspension contributes to the overall style without coming across as too showy.
For the sake of comparison, Vossen filmed a video featuring this C8 Avant next to another one wearing 22-inch EVO-4R rims. As you can see, the size difference is really obvious. The question is, which one would you prefer?
