Audi RS6 Avant goes from family hauler to track monster

Who on Earth needs a station wagon with a thousand horsepower and 340 km/h (211 mph) top speed? No one, really. But it is kind of fun to build one if you have what it takes.

This Audi RS6 Avant from a recent YouTube video by Auditography takes advantage of a Stage 3 tuning kit that consists of top-tier turbos, a Venturi carbon air intake system, a couple of massive intercoolers, and a tuned ECU. The net result exceeds 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.

An Akrapovic exhaust system replaces the stock one for a richer soundtrack, but comes with stock-looking oval finishers for some reason. Sleeper look would not be the case: with a striking racer livery, a carbon fiber body kit and bronze-hued 22-inch rims, the wagon is a far cry from discreet.

When tested on the speedway, the car reportedly managed to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 2.7 seconds and nearly reached 340 km/h (211 mph).
