The Carwow team hosted another high-octane racing event this weekend, letting three AWD sports cars from Germany compete against each other in a quarter-mile and half-mile drag races, as well as a brake test. Spoiler alert: a different car won in each category.
First on the list is an Audi RS 6 Avant Performance Edition packing a four-liter V8. It delivers 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. It is the heaviest participant of the race with 2,090 kilograms (4,608 pounds) of curb weight and its most expensive with the starting price of £112,890.
Next down the line is a BMW M5 Competition, which is substantially lighter at 1,865 kg (4,112 lbs) and marginally wallet-friendlier at £111,425. It relies on a 4.4-liter V8 to drive the wheels with 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) through an eight-speed AT.
Rounding off the lineup is a Mercedes-AMG E 63 S. It slots between its two rivals in terms of weight with 1,950 kg (4,299 lbs) and is the least expensive of the three at £106,485. That said, it also lags behind in terms of raw power: the stock 4.0-liter V8 TT hits a nine-speed AT with 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.
