The Carwow team has taken an Audi RS 6 Avant Performance on an acceleration test and found that the family hauler had more thrust in it than the carmaker promised.
Compared to the standard wagon, Performance introduces an improved turbo system that lets its 4.0-liter V8 churn out superior 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. A modified eight-speed AT carries the momentum to all four wheels.
Aside from that, the model has less noise proofing all around, resulting in a lighter and more dynamic body. Audi says it needs 3.4 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) from standstill. However, in the video, Matt Watson manages to launch it in just 3.2 seconds. It also took him 11.37 seconds to do a quarter-mile run.
