Carwow often put cars on tarmac to see how well they compare in raw acceleration, but how about a snowy slope for a change?
The video puts a dual-motor Audi RS E-Tron GT up against two gas-powered rivals, the lightweight RS3 and the wagon-shaped RS6 Avant. The electric car is the most powerful of the bunch with 646 PS (637 hp / 475 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, but also the heaviest at 2,345 kilograms (5,170 pounds).
The RS3 makes do with 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, which it sends to all wheels through a seven-speed DCT. It is the lightest of the three with a curb weight of 1,570 kg (3,461 pounds). As for the RS6 Avant, it has 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque under its command and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission driving four wheels. The weight is somewhere in between – 2,075 kilos, or 4,575 pounds.
We will spare you the spoilers, because three Audis racing against each other in winter is not your average boring drag race.
