HGP, a German tuning company mostly known for its aftermarket turbo kits, has rolled out something fresh and surprising: an Audi RS e-Tron GT boosted by nearly 200 horsepower via software tweaks.
In its stock guise, the performance saloon utilizes a pair of synchronous electric motors joining their efforts for 598 PS (590 hp / 440 kW). You can briefly boost the output to 646 PS (637 hp / 475 kW), but that’s about it.
Once tuned, the motors slam the wheels with around 800–820 PS (790–810 hp; 588–603 kW). The peak torque reaches as high as 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft). Tuned like this, the sedan zaps from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and from zero to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.9 seconds.
HGP says similar upgrades are now available for most other e-tron models, as well as the technically related Porsche Taycan.
