Owners of the latest Audi RS 6 Avant wagon and RS Q8 SUV may now ask ABT Sportsline for a power boost, a suspension overhaul and assorted aesthetic retouches. The full package comes in at a whopping €42,900 before installation.
Both vehicles use the same four-liter V8 rated close to 600 horsepower (450 kilowatts) and 800 Newton-meters (590 pound-feet) of torque. The upgrade kit called ABT Power S* dials these figures up to 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque. Should you want even more, an extra boost to 740 PS (730 hp / 544 kW) and 920 Nm (680 lb-ft) is available.
The air suspension of the luxury SUV loses 25 mm (1 inch) of height on both axles in Comfort mode and 15 mm (0.6 inches) of height in Dynamic mode. For its own part, the RS 6 Avant gets lowering springs that drop its clearance by 25 mm (1 inch) at the front end and 30 mm (1.2 inches) in the back. Enhanced anti-sway bars help reduce roll in sharp corners.
The exterior trim pieces are largely cosmetic and can be seen in our gallery and the video here. Elsewhere, the RS 6 gets custom wheels sized up to 22 inches across, and the RS Q8 gets larger 23-inch rollers. The interior makes do without serious upgrades: there are carbon applications of the seat backs and the dashboard, a badge on the steering wheel, a custom Start/Stop button and a few other minor mods.
