Look at this rally car. Isn’t it splendid? It isn’t all about the looks, either. This Audi S3 boasts plenty of mods and still manages to remain street-legal somehow.
As far as we know, APR and Platinum Motor Cars were the teams responsible for the project. As for the source of inspiration, we believe it was Jon Olsson’s Audi RS6 DTM Avant.
Among other things, the sedan sports dozens of aerodynamic parts, darkened windows, a Thule expedition rack up above, four auxiliary headlights rated at a whopping 9,000 lumens each, and a style-conscious vinyl wrap that reads ‘Crown Rally’. The wheels come from Forgestar, and the tires are Hankook Ventus EVO.
In terms of equipment, this particular Audi S3 boasts an ST Suspensions lowering kit and a bespoke brake system composed of StoppTech discs, Stahlflex pipes, and EBC calipers painted yellow.
And of course, being a performance tuner first and foremost, APR could not leave the engine of this S3 without due attention. The introduction of a carbon air intake system, new downpipes and a Stage 2 chip tune, the sedan exceeded its senior sibling – the RS3 – in terms of sheer acceleration power.
