Audi has refreshed its SQ5 Sportback model heading into 2021, so let’s see what’s new and exciting.
The engine list now includes a 3.0-liter V6 that toils in tandem with a mild-hybrid system for 341 PS (336 hp / 250 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) total. Getting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 5.1 seconds, and the maximum speed is capped at 250 km/h (155 mph) as usual.
The 40 TDI 2.0 spec has 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, which enables it to hit 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Novelty comes in the form of a mild hybrid system that allows the car to coast with the main engine turned off at lower speeds.
The Q5 Sportback 50 TDI also goes electrified with a 48V add-on, and produces 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) along with 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque. It needs 5.7 seconds for the standard sprint.
The 45 TFSI 2.0 churns out 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft), but makes do with a 12V system.
Exterior improvements include 20-inch wheels, updated brakes, and a sporty suspension kit with damping control.
Crack open the door to be greeted by a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a third-gen infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. Both are listed under standard features alongside satellite navigation and a multi-function steering wheel.
