Audi SQ5 does a 4.9-second sprint thanks to ABT Sportsline tweaks

The turbodiesel-powered Audi SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback manage to combine sporty acceleration with conservative fuel consumption, but the strict eco standards of today had an impact on their output. ABT Sportsline went through dozens of settings and found a way to bring that power back – and more.

In its stock form, the three-liter TDI engine churns out 347 PS (342 hp / 255 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. An ECU upgrade raises these figures to 384 PS (379 hp / 282 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft). As a result, the crossover SUV breaks through the psychological barrier of five seconds, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 4.9 seconds.

Aside from the tune, ABT Sportsline offers an aero kit for the Audi SQ5 that mostly changes the way its tail looks, 102mm (4”) exhaust tips, shorter suspension springs, and a wide variety of wheel designs to choose from. Installed on the photos are ABT Sport HR rims 21 inches in diameter.
