The 2nd-gen Audi TT RS counts among the favorite cars in the Old World tuning community – but few have been able to get it as high as 1,300 hp (970 kW).
Nonetheless, this is exactly what German tuner Don Octane demonstrates in the video here. The two-door coupe was swapped for the V6 3.2 unit taken from the rare Volkswagen Golf R32. The engine was subsequently boosted to the abovementioned 1,300 hp and partnered with an AWD system.
The cabin was stripped of everything not strictly necessary for racing, including the center console, air blowers, door cards, HVAC, audio, and even the floor mats. The driver’s seat lost weight and gained a racing-grade safety harness. A fire extinguishing system was also installed.
When it hit the half-mile drag strip, the Audi TT RS by Don Octane zapped through it in mere 15.19 seconds and hit 200.38 miles per hour (322.48 km/h) as it did so.
