ABT Sportsline has recently finished working on a custom Audi TT RS and felt like checking whether it could outrun a luxury-laden Audi R8 (4S) with twice the cylinder count.
The V10 powering the R8 has 610 PS (450 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) at its disposal. The TT lags considerably behind with its 400 PS (295 kW) and 480 Nm (356 lb-ft). However, after some extensive tweaking by ABT, it rises to the same level of power. The torque goes even farther than that, settling on 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) max.
The R8 approached the start line with its engine and drivetrain in stock condition, but a couple of other mods such as air suspension, aftermarket exhaust system and golden forged wheels.
Watch the video for multiple test runs and keep in mind that the asphalt was wet.
