Audi is celebrating 40 years of its famous quattro AWD tech this year. To better remember the milestone, the company will be releasing 40 TT RS sports cars as part of the 40 Jahre quattro Edition. Prices start from €114,040.
The series will use the familiar 2.5-liter five-cylinder rated at 400 hp (295 kW) and 480 Nm (356 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and the signature quattro AWD. Every car will be able to sprint 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and ultimately reach 280 km/h (174 mph).
The paintjob will be white in reference to the marque’s racecars, and the assorted body stickers will pay homage to the iconic Audi Sport quattro S1, which Walter Röhrl drove to victory in the Pikes Pikes race in 1987.
Other than that, the series sports an carbon-fiber body kit consisting of hood air intake bezels, a front splitter, new aprons, a rear diffuser and a rear wing.
The cabin will make use of high-end leather and Alcantara, and clients will be able to choose between individual seats or a carbon-fiber strut brace for the rear row.
