Audi TT RS Iconic Edition bows with plenty of show, no extra go

Did you know the Audi TT has been out and about for 25 long years already? Time sure flies fast, and to let us appreciate the fact better, Audi has launched a spin-off of the TT model, named the Iconic Edition.

The car is a stock TT RS underneath the metal. This means it utilizes a five-cylinder turbo mill rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and trusts a 7-speed DCT to carry the torque to all four wheels. Things get livelier on the outside, where it wears a new front splitter, a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing, a rear diffuser and canards. Gray is the only exterior color available.

Elsewhere, the self-proclaimed icon wears new 20-inch wheels finished in black and matching brake calipers. The interior sports a combination of black leather and Alcantara with yellow accents for contrast. Rounding things off are mandatory plaques and badges highlighting the exclusive status of the vehicle.

Only 100 units will be made and sold in Europe starting from £87,650 in the UK. The standard TT costs on the order of £30,000 less.
