Aurus CEO has confirmed in a recent interview that the Komendant SUV will go into production in Alabuga factory in the spring of 2022.
He added that there will be a year-and-a-half long gap between the production runs of the Senat and Komendant models.
Car spotters have repeatedly sighted the luxury off-roader running pre-production tests both in its homeland – Russia – and abroad. The company reports that the car comes powered by the same hybrid system as the Senat, namely a 4.4-liter gasoline V8 and a single electric motor. A nine-speed automatic transmission hits all four wheels with up to 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque.
