The NAMI Institute (Russia) has posted a tender for imitation wood trim pieces for its luxury limo, Aurus Senat. The company has yet to reveal any photos or even sketches, but the option already has a price sticker attached – 145,200 Rubles ($1,669 USD).
The fake-wood trim is supposed to be applied onto the partition wall between the driver’s cab and the interior, as well as the pillars. The pieces consist of ABS plastic finished with natural poplar wood veneers. The company highlights the use of ‘an expensive German lacquer’ as the sealing layer.
The Aurus Senat went into production in 2021. Both the sedan and the stretch limo versions use the same hybrid powertrain driving four wheels with 598 PS (590 hp / 440 kW).
