Baojun has revealed a new option for its subcompact crossover SUV known as the Yep. Called Car Watch, it adds a screen to the trunk door that the driver can use to communicate with the others in the traffic. It will go on sale this summer.
The device is 300x265 mm (11.7x10.4 inches) large and resembles a wristwatch on a strap. It consists of three parts, the smallest of which has a built-in tailgate handle. Drivers are free to pick any design they like for the screen bezel.
It is assumed that the drivers will be able to display various messages, emojis, backgrounds and directions for those driving behind them. It is unknown how much the feature will cost.
The Baojun Yep is a three-door urban micro-SUV powered by an electric motor rated at 68 PS (67 hp / 50 kW) and 140 Nm (77 lb-ft) of torque.
