Chinese car enterprise SGMW will be releasing a new all-electric vehicle, called the Baojun200, before the end of the year. The company already has one EV in its lineup, named the Baojun E100.
The new EV sports an unusual body geometry and is slightly larger than its predecessor. More specifically, it is 2,497 mm long, 1526 mm wide and 1,616 mm tall with 1,600 mm axle spacing.
There are a few exterior peculiarities if you look closely. For one, the “E” badge is no longer looking like a euro sign, but rather like a power plug. Judging by the photos provided, the luggage compartment slides open.
The interior makes intensive use of grey plastic with a red dashboard.
The environment-friendly urban car relies on a humble 39hp / 29kW strong engine for movement. Its peak going speed does not exceed 100 km/h (60 mph). The driving range hasn’t been revealed yet, but we can expect it to be somewhere around 200 km (120 mi).
SGMW will soon premiere another new vehicle whose name you could just as well have guessed. Yes, it’s the Baojun E300.
