Bentley says it will introduce its first fully electric car in three years and cease to produce ICE cars by the beginning of the next decade to reach complete carbon neutrality. The required investment is estimated at £2.5 billion.
There is little known about the luxury marque’s first EV, though. The Dream Factory investment program spans ten years and looks like it will prioritize launching new production lines in Crewe, England. New electric cars will also be developed and climate neutrality will be pursued. The latter should become possible thanks to waste optimization and a more conservative use of water.
According to Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark, the upgraded company will serve as a paragon of industry – not just in the luxury car segment, but in other areas as well.
The only bit of information available about the first Bentley EV is that it will be made in the UK.
