Next week, Bentley will attend the Monterey show with an innovative organic trim material known as Olive Tan Leather.
Manufactured at Pasubio Factory in Italy, the calfskin leather is tanned using a filtered olive oil residue. This approach eliminates any harmful substances in the manufacturing process and results in particularly smooth leather fit for the most deluxe of cars, Bentley emphasizes.
Only bulls grazing in North European regions are chosen for the production. The temperate climate where they are raised ensures that their skin stays pristine and undamaged. Every car takes 8–12 calf skins and 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) of thread to trim. Upholstering just the main four seats takes 12 hours of manual labor, and every wing logo is composed of 5,102 stitches.
