Bentley revealed it was working on a high-end version of its Bentayga SUV, called the Bentayga Speed. According to the media, the vehicle will pack a stronger engine than the Lamborghini Urus, even though the two share the same platform.
More specifically, the Bentley Bentayga Speed will be getting a 6.0-liter, dual-turbo W12 engine boosted to deliver 660 hp (492 kW) instead of the usual 608 hp (453 kW). For reference, the Lamborghini Urus packs 650 hp (485 kW).
The company says the power upgrade boils down to an ECU remap, as well as the installation of an optimized eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new SUV should therefore be able to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in under four seconds and ultimately hit 300+ km/h (186+ mph).
