Bentley has launched a special edition of its Bentayga SUV, called the Design Series and packing a 550-hp / 410 kW strong V8. So, what’s so special about it?
By default, the Bentayga V8 Design Series comes pre-equipped with all bells and whistles the manufacturer offers with the model, including those by Mulliner. Its main distinguishing feature comes in the form of Palladium Grey Paragon seven-spoke, centerlock alloy wheels marked with the letter “B” that always stays upright and does not rotate with the wheel.
The car also takes advantage of the Bentayga Blackline package that includes new glossy black exhaust tips and the lower bumper painted to match the body.
Unlike the standard Bentayga, the Design Series takes advantage of a carbon-fiber trim with a "diamond-quilted" look adorning the doors and the fascia.
The manufacturer could be trying to compensate for the declining Bentaygs sales with this limited series. In 2017, the marque sold 10,552 cars, followed by only 9,115 in 2018.
