Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors Ltd., Adrian Hallmark, let it be known in a recent interview that ‘the Bentayga was, is and will be the only SUV on the lineup, at least in the foreseeable future.’
He did not completely rule out the possibility of Bentley launching another luxury crossover should the company decide to reconsider its original policy.
Wolfgang Dürheimer, former executive of Bentley, actually intended to launch a completely new mini-SUV along with a coupe-shaped variant of the Bentayga. The way the things look right now, though, his ideas aren’t likely to be greenlit anytime soon.
The original Bentley Bentayga debuted three years ago in four performance variants: Hybrid, Speed, V8 and W12. Around 50% of all sales fall on the latter model, making it Bentley’s single most popular vehicle on the market.
