This $500,000 Bentley Bentayga isn’t afraid of AK-47 or grenade blasts

Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Inkas has launched what it claims to be the world’s first armored Bentley Bentayga series.

The opulent SUV features VR6 level of ballistic protection, which means it can withstand large-caliber automatic rifle fire and simultaneous blasts of two hand grenades at the bottom.

In the most basic version, the plate-wearing Bentayga comes with reinforced suspension, EMP protection, battery protection, and specially designed puncture- and laceration-resistant tires. Options include performance brakes, auxiliary emergency lights, a loudspeaker, and a fire extinguishing system.

The car comes adequately powered by its standard six-liter W12 rated at 600 hp (447 kW). Prices begin in the half-a-million-USD area.
