Stretched Bentley Bentayga spied testing in Europe

Bentley has no long-wheelbase vehicles on offer since the discontinuation of the Mulsanne, but things may soon change with the introduction of a Bentayga EWB (Extended Wheelbase).

The test mule, which has recently been spotted in Europe, looks nearly identical to the regular Bentayga, but a closer look at the sides reveals that it is by no means stock.

As you can see, the distance between the wheels is larger and the rear doors are wider. While no official details are provided, one can expect the SUV to get around 250 mm (9.7 inches) of extra legroom – about as much as the Mulsanne EWB used to offer. This would also mean captain’s seat on the second row equipped with armrests and a premium center console.

The powertrains will most probably stay stock. The 4.0-liter V8 will continue churning out 542 PS (535 hp / 400 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), and the 6.0-liter W12 will still produce 626 PS (617 hp / 460 kW) along with 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. A hybrid version should also be available with 443 PS (437 hp / 325 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft).
