The Bentayga family is greeting a new member called Extended Wheelbase, which is 5,322 mm (207.9 inches) long and thus 180 mm (7 inches) longer than the standard model.
On the outside, you can tell the luxury SUV from its regular counterpart by its larger rear doors, new wheels and radiator grille, and slightly displaced panoramic sunroof.
Buyers have three seating formulae of the stretched SUV to choose from: 2+2, 2+3 and 4+1. All seats are 22-weay adjustable and offer advanced massage functions. Enabling Relaxation Mode reclines the back of the rear seat by 40 degrees and moves the first seat farther to the front, freeing up legroom for those sitting in the back.
Power still comes from the usual 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged to 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. The luxobarge needs as little as 4.6 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 290 km/h (180 mph), which is impressive given its size and weight.
Shipments will start in late 2022, Bentley says without revealing any pricing details.
