The Bentley Airline Seat is no joke with a dozen of built-in electric motors, three air valve control units and the world’s first automatic microclimate regulation system.
Each seat offers as many as 22 automatic adjustments that change the positions of their backs, headrests, side bolsters and bolster rim positions. An array of sensors keeps track of temperature of humidity, updating their readings once every 25 milliseconds and reporting temperatures with the tolerance of 0.1 °C. All you have to do is choose from one out of the seven available presets, and the system will set up and maintain heating, ventilation and cooling automatically within the strictest limits. According to the company, around 75 or 80 percent of the buyers are completely fine with the factory presets, while only 5 percent prefer creating a custom present.
Six special air-filled bags are used to correct the body position in the seat proactively using up to 177 pressure application points. Once you change your pose in the seat, the pressure adapts to accommodate it. The seats even read your constitution and take it into account.
Power adjustment is made possible thanks to 12 quiet electric motors and three ECUs governing the air valves. The seats are a paid option available for both the four- and the five-seat version of the Bentley Bentayga EWB.
