Stretched Bentley Bentayga goes into production

Bentley has announced the production start of the Bentayga EWB (Extended Wheelbase). The crossover boasts 180 mm (7 inches) of extra space between the axles and comes equipped with particularly deluxe seats with dozens of adjustments.

Other distinctions from the standard version include a sunroof, a new radiator grille, active noise cancelling and four-wheel steering.

The buyers are restricted to only one engine: a four-liter V8 boosted to 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) succeeds in 4.5 seconds – only a tenth of a second slower than the standard Bentayga.

According to Bentley, putting together just one car involves 132 hours of manual work, including 10 hours of wood trim preparation.
