Lunaz has electrified yet another automotive rarity, this time a 60-year-old Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur. It is a one-off order that cost the client £350,000, but you are free to ask for a similar conversion of a Bentley Continental coupe or sedan.
Technical specifics are scarce. The original Bentley packed a 6.2-liter V8. An earlier project by Lunaz (watch the video for details) saw a vintage Rolls-Royce receive a powertrain rated at 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The restomod sprinted 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in five seconds and had around 400 km (248 miles) of range thanks to its large 80-kWh battery.
Coming back to the S2, it wound up with suspension and brake improvements, power steering, an air conditioner, and an infotainment system with sat-nav and smartphone support.
Lunaz plans to increase its production capacities by a factor of five this year and double its staff, seeing how wildly popular its projects have become among well-off customers.
