This Bentley Continental R Superfast is one out of fourteen such vehicles built against an order of Jefri Bolkiah, a Brunei Prince and famous car collector, and it is currently up for grabs.
The car is informally known as the SuFaCon, which stands for ‘SUper FAst CONtinental’. The original Continental R came out between 1991 and 2002 armed with a 6.75-liter turbocharged V8. The power started at 330 PS (325 hp / 243 kW), but climbed as high as 426 PS (420 hp / 313 kW) by the time the Continental R 420 version came out. The Superfast was launched in 1994 and upped the ante again with 534 PS (527 hp / 393 kW).
Back in its time, the SuFaCon was faster than any of the latest R Mulliner models were with their T engines (in the video). The stock car needed 5.6 seconds to hit 97 km/h (60 miles per hour), while Bolkiah’s car only needed 5 seconds flat. It also had special brakes, wheels, a hood with air intakes, and Bentley Azure bumpers and seats.
This example is the last in the production queue with less than 12,000 km (7,456 miles) under its belt. Prices are available upon request.
