Bentley will be launching a series of 15 ultra-deluxe Continental GTs dedicated to the model’s triumph at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb this summer. Prices remain unknown.
In late June, professional racing driver Rhys Millen made his second attempt to climb the 19.9-km (12.4-mile) long track and crossed the finish line in 10 minutes 18 seconds, improving his previous best score by full eight seconds.
The Bentley Bentayga also received a Pikes Peak edition after setting the record on the same track last year. As for the new Continental GT, the series sports a green finish with glossy-black accents, a custom-tailored carbon-fiber body kit, Pirelli P Zero tires, and vividly painted brake supports.
The inside space comes adorned with green highlights, ‘Pikes Peak’ inscriptions along with the image of the track itself, new running boards, and embroidered seats. Plenty of Alcantara and carbon fiber is used throughout.
Powering the series is the standard 6.0 W12 mill churning out 635 hp (474 kW) and up to 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is eight-speed automatic, and the drive is on both axles.
