Bentley Continental GT Speed gains speed and power

Bentley has unveiled the Continental GT Speed, its fastest-accelerating production car on record. The car needs 3.6 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 335 km/h (208 mph).

The previous-gen Speed utilized a giant six-liter W12 rated at 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The newcomer is 24 PS (24 hp / 18 kW) more powerful and 0.5 seconds faster to sprint.

The equipment list mentions 22-inch wheels, carbon0ceramic brakes, rear-axle steering, sport seats, partial cylinder deactivation, adaptive suspension, electronic rear differential, and more.

You can tell the special edition from the regular Continental GT by its badges, new exterior paints and darkened radiator grille.

Shipments are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2021; prices are pending.
