Bentley has begun unveiling the next generation of its Continental GT. It is coming with a hybrid powertrain called Ultra Performance, rated at 782 PS (771 hp / 575 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. The premiere is expected in June.
The company praises the new GT as the most powerful, agile and eco-friendly Bentley in history. It can cover up to 80 km (50 miles) on electric power alone and otherwise is a joy to steer thanks to an electronic differential, permanent AWD and smart torque vectoring.
Many innovations will make their way into the chassis department, including four-wheel steering, active roll stabilizers and dual shocks.
Bentley added the Continental GT to its portfolio in 2002. The British automaker reckons it will piece together the 100,000th example of it sometime in early 2025.
