Bentley has released a video dedicated to the extremely complex and multi-faceted process of creating the inner luxury of the third-gen Flying Spur saloon.
The process involves the use of a unique leather adorned with a three-dimensional texture and necessitates spending over 3 kilometers (10,000+ feet) of thread. The interior trim department employs 141 people, who process around 60 parts by hand.
One worker puts five meters (16 feet) of thread through hundreds of loops just to trim the steering wheel, which takes 3.5 hours. The door panels boast a ‘3D leather’ specialty finish that represents the company’s know-how solutions.
