Bentley Flying Spur gets quasi-3D wood patterns on doors

Those who can afford a saloon as luxurious as the Bentley Flying Spur may now specify for Mulliner to trim it with natural wood panels adorned with an intricate ornament shown here.

Each panel represents a solid chunk of wood (either Brazil nut or cherry wood) engraved with 150 diamond-shaped cells. The pattern is CNC-machined to millimeter precision and then carefully finished in handiwork. Completed panels get a clear lacquer coating that enhances the wooden texture.

Bentley premiered this luxury finishing approach on its EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept shown in the video.
