When Bentley was introducing the Batur, it let it slip that the car comprised ‘around 800 unique parts.’ Today, it has shed light on some of these parts – specifically, the ones making up a Naim for Mulliner audio system priced at U.S. $31,680.
The system consists of 20 speakers, including 6 high-frequency ones, 9 mid-frequency and 2 low-frequency. There is also a single subwoofer and two active bass transducers. Many of them are outfitted with patented Focal diffusers.
Bentley boasts that it gave Naim a list of 56 requirements and recommendations to follow in designing the sound system. For its own part, the carmaker designed the Batur with the speakers in mind from the ground up, strategically placing them in the optimal spots all around the interior. The company even had to reinforce the areas around the doors and in the back of the car to eliminate any unwanted jitters and other sources of sound distortion.
