Bentley has made a video dedicated to its flagship sedan, Mulsanne, which is going out of production this summer.
The company had originally planned to discontinue the model this spring, but postponed these plans by a few months.
The sedan came into the spotlights 11 years ago. It came equipped with the 6.75-liter V8 engine of its predecessor model called Arnage, and had 512 hp (382 kW) and up to 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal.
The 2012 version of the Muslanne could accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.3 seconds and go all the way up to 305 km/h (190 mph). Two years later, Mulsanne Speed came out packing superior 537 hp (400 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. It had a launch time of 4.9 seconds.
For years after that, Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase hit the market, offering 25 cm (around 10 inches) of extra legroom for rear passengers and electric footrests, among other luxury features.
Throughout its history, the car has seen a dozen special editions, including the latest Mulsanne 6.75 Edition by Mulliner. The latter batch came limited to just 30 production units and was conceptualized as a means of saying goodbye to the Mulsanne series. It also marked the 60th anniversary of the V8 6.75 engine.
Starting in summer, Bentley Flying Spur will occupy the position at the very top of the Bentley range.
