Bertone celebrates coming back to life with the GB110 hypercar

Italian car company Bertone ceased to exist in 2014 due to financial issues, prompting a long succession of debt sales. In the end, the brand landed in the hands of Mauro and Jean-Franck Ricci, owners of Ideactive with 30 years of experience in the car industry.

It is not surprising, then, that the company has a plan for rescuing the renowned brand. Its first production model will be a hypercar named the Bertone GB110. Despite only existing in 3D renderings at this moment, the car is already available for ordering with the shipment penciled in for 2024.

The official press release states the GB110 is a high-performance coupe sporting an original design. There is no missing its similarity to the Lamborghini Huracan, but Bertone won’t admit as much. Much of the bodywork and lighting is new.

Like the Huracan it must be based upon, the hypercar has dual-wishbone suspension on both axles and drives all four wheels through a seven-speed DCT. However, instead of the stock 20-inch wheels, Bertone opts for 21-inch ones shod in grippier tires.

Performance-wise, the company promises us a sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.79 seconds and a top speed limited at 380 km/h (236 mph).
