The BMW industrial complex in Leipzig has churned out the car number 3,333,333: a red 128ti hatchback.
The industrial site has been operating for 18 years, originally producing RWD models and the i8 supercar line. A couple of years ago, the conveyor belt only had the 1-Series and 2-Series Active Tourer and Gran Coupe rolling.
The new Mini Countryman SUV is scheduled to go into production at the Leipzig factory later this year. The annual capacity is 350,000 units.
