As you may have heard, BMW and Porsche have been working together on the project called Fast Charge. Their latest achievement is this ultra-fast charging station for electrified cars.
The charging terminal outputs up to 450 kW. According to Porsche, you can plug in your car (assuming it’s equipped with a 90 kWh battery) for only three minutes to get extra 100 kilometers (~60 miles) of driving range.
The experimental station is located between German cities of Ulm and Augsburg, and is completely free to use.
The charging terminal is compatible with all CCS Type 2 EVs featuring either 400V or 800V on-board circuitry.
