First photos of the all-electric BMW i4 now here

Car spotters have managed to make shots of the new BMW i4 as it was being transported by a tow truck. The all-electric model won’t premiere until at least 2021.

Despite the fact that the car still wears a thick layer of camouflage cladding, it is obvious that it takes after the Vision Dynamics Concept that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show two years ago. Additionally, some of its parts look inspired by the 4-Series Gran Coupe.

It looks like short overhangs, longer wheelbase and slanting roof are all going to be the main design features of the new EV.

According to an unconfirmed source, the all-electric vehicle will ship with a choice between the front drive and AWD, an SAE Level 3 self-drive system and a large battery for up to 700 kilometers (435 miles) of uninterrupted driving.

Once the new model hits the market, it will have to compete against the Tesla Model 3 for customer attention.
