German car manufacturer BMW has released an official teaser video showing pre-production copies of its upcoming X3M and X4M SUVs. The cars will celebrate their live debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland in March 2019.
Both models still wear thick camouflage cladding, but some details can be seen nonetheless. In particular, the air intakes in the front bumpers are much larger, the side mirrors are optimized for aerodynamics, there are bigger alloy wheels, and there is a performance exhaust system with four tailpipes.
The company remains tight-lipped about any technical specs, but industry pros expect both cars to ship with the same kind of 4WD system as the one that comes with the M5. They should also both take advantage of new 3.0L turbo V6 engines ranging between 450 and 475 hp (336 – 354 kW).
Sales will begin before the end of 2019.
