German car manufacturer BMW has published a series of photos showcasing its upcoming iNext SUV EV during extreme off-road tests beyond the Arctic Circle.
The developer team used the opportunity to ensure the proper operation of all units and components of the car, including the engine, chassis, gearbox, steering, brakes, traction battery, climate control, and more.
The test procedure involved the BMW iNext running on smooth ice with minimal surface grip and driving along snowy highways in Arjeplog, Sweden.
The pre-production version of the car debuted in late 2018. Production will likely begin in 2021.
